What Happened
The Florida Panthers will play the Columbus Blue Jackets without goaltender Jacob Markstrom and defenceman Radko Gudas. Head coach Paul Maurice announced Tuesday that both veterans are listed as day-to-day. Markstrom exited Monday's 5-3 defeat against the Buffalo Sabres following the first period due to tightness, though Maurice indicated the issue is not considered serious. Akira Schmid stepped in during Monday's game and is scheduled to start in goal against Columbus. Gudas sustained minor contact during a collision with Buffalo forward Beck Malenstyn but managed to finish the contest.
